Who Am I?

My Story

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to write. I remember writing short stories using the new words I learned from the books my nose was always in. Writing had always been there for me, been my companion. But it took me longer than you’d think to realize it was my passion. I spent a lot of my tween life trying to find what that passion was. At one point, it was skincare; at another point, it was makeup, and for a while, I had settled on psychology. Senior year rolled around, and I had finally decided that psychology was what I would pursue. I applied and was accepted into my current university as a psychology major. In the last months of senior year, I had been toying with switching to journalism, but I was far from being entirely sure. When I arrived at the new student orientation, on the right of me was seating for students in the college belonging to psychology, and on my left, for those in the college belonging to journalism and mass communications. At that moment, I decided to pursue what I had recognized as my passion all along. Every bone in my body tells me every day that I made the right decision, and I genuinely cannot see myself anywhere other than where I am right now.

Creativity.
Community.
Confidence.
